After getting graduated in Botany from Mumbai University, I got admission in SIES-Indian Institute of Environment Management (SIES-IIEM) for Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management (PGDEM).
The PGDEM course has given me confidence to interact with various strata of the people and also has given me the knowledge to pursue Environmental Management as a career option. As promised by the management of SIES-IIEM we were placed with a prestigious Carbon Management Consultancy firm called as CARE SUSTAINABILITY, Belapur.
SIES-IIEM placed us in CARE SUSTAINABILITY, Belapur as project trainees and we have been absorbed as Junior consultants and thanks to the grooming given to us in SIES-IIEM we are at present promoted as Senior Consultants – Climate change.
SIES_IIEM as an institution has lot to offer as a unique place of environmental management education and hone the abilities of students interested in Environmental Management and Science for a bright future. The dedicated team of faculty is always ready to help out the students and provide valuable guidance to the students to make a mark in this competitive market place

After completing graduation in Life Science, I joined SIES-IIEM for
PG Diploma in Applied and Industrial Biotechnology.
Along with basic knowledge of Biotechnology, Clinical Research,
Bioinformatics, Bioprocess and Biostatistics, this course was more
focused on practical and hands on training in laboratory skills and
also gave us chance to work in Pharmaceutical companies like Cipla
Ltd. The practicals conducted are all advanced and at par with todays industrial demands, which ensures students to get desired placements.

I joined SIES - IIEM as a graduate in Biotechnology and over the course of a year came to realize that the course material is a perfect blend of practical experiments, enough to inculcate an interest in research and theoretical knowledge to induce a thirst for higher specialized studies.
The course is ideal as an add-on after graduation for those intent on pursuing a career in research or as a prelude to those wishing to pursue an MBA with specialization in Life Science marketing and sales. |
The PGDAIB course enables you to explore the vast potential of the Life Science industry career wise as it opens up doors to a plethora of areas like Clinical Research, Bioinformatics, Bioprocess and Biostatistics which are almost unheard of in most undergraduate studies.

| Sometimes even a small phase of life can prove to be a big step towards bright future, in terms of knowledge and experience, which stand at highest priority for counting gains in life. One year of PBDAIB, served to become that step, acting as guidance for enhancing knowledge in different subjects like molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, fermentation technology, make it a complete blend of providing academic background with industrial requirements. Course also provided me opportunity to work on research project during my training period at NIIH, ICMR, KEM Hospital. |
In short, it has proved to be one of those stones which have made me step towards success.

Life is full of surprises & surprises turn up when they are least expected. Chasing my dreams for studying in U.S, never gave me a hint that becoming part of SIES-IIEM, as a student of PGDAIB would help me gain a comprehensive background of knowledge from distinguished faculty members and very well designed course, integrating basics of different subjects with practical experimentation of industrial required lab techniques. It gave a chance to further expertise on lab skills by undergoing industrial training as a part of course. |
It definitely helped in overall personality development, along with providing a strong knowledge backbone for my future studies. |
