This is an advanced course in biotechnology which offers industry-focused interdisciplinary training with hands-on training in molecular biology and microbiology, immunology, biochemistry etc. The course will equip students with technical knowledge and skills relevant to pharmaceutical, health-care, agro, food and other biotech related industries, corporate R & D and environmental sectors, research institutions and regulatory agencies.

Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management (PGDEM)
Recognizing that the future of mankind is entirely dependent on the flow and stock of ecological resources and quality of environment, and that the emergence and acceptance of the concept of Sustainable Development as the societal policy paradigm demand a major shift in our approach to education on environment management; the SIES-IIEM offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management (PGDEM) to address upstream concerns on conservation of natural resources and protection of environment in public policy and business management.
The PGDEM at the SIES-IIEM is designed with the objective to prepare professionals for business, financial institutions, infrastructure development agencies, and Government to devise win-win solutions to environment – development interface problems through a state-of-art curriculum on problem solving mode that encompasses management aspects of environmental technology (cleaner and cleanup), environmental biotechnology and information technology.
Eligibility: Fresh engineering graduates or Life/Natural science Graduates/ Postgraduates / Industry and Finance Sector professionals with engineering or life/natural science qualifications

Successful participants will develop the capacity to carry out independent scientific and technical research and assessments on environmental issues.

First & Second Class Graduates in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on the B.Sc result.
