This is an advanced course in biotechnology which offers industry-focused interdisciplinary training with hands-on training in molecular biology and microbiology, immunology, biochemistry etc. The course will equip students with  technical knowledge and skills relevant to pharmaceutical, health-care, agro, food and other biotech related industries, corporate R & D and environmental sectors, research institutions and regulatory agencies.

Eligibility: Graduates in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Medicine & other life sciences.

Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management (PGDEM)

Environment and sustainable development are one of the dominant issues and challenges of the 21st century, as the over growing needs of the galloping global population increasingly presses up against the limits of the earth’s resources and ecosystems. At the same time, business leaders increasingly believe that an environmentally literate workforce is critical to their long term success and profitability, with better environmental practices and improved efficiencies impacting positively on the bottom line while helping to better position and prepare their companies for the future. A key component of an environmentally sustainable business is a highly educated work force, with thorough knowledge of theoretical and practical aspect of environmental management.

The PGDEM at the SIES-IIEM is designed with the objective to prepare professionals for the corporate sector with an ability to critically analyze interdisciplinary environmental problems, develop the necessary skills and expertise to address the challenges and foster attitudes, motivations, and commitments to make informed decisions and take responsible action towards environmental issues through Awareness, Sensitivity, Knowledge and Understanding about environment and environmental challenges.

Eligibility: Post Graduates/ Graduates in Engineering, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology,    Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Geography, Pharmacy & other Life sciences. Industry sponsored candidates will also be considered.

The objective of the Environmental Science programme is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute, directly or indirectly, to the conservation and prudent use of natural resources for the benefit of society. Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Environment Management (PGDSEM)

Environmental management techniques are integral to conservation, agriculture, forestry, industry and countryside planning. This part time course is designed for people already in environment-related employment, who wish to develop their careers by updating their knowledge and skills. It aims to satisfy an industrial and public sector demand for science and engineer qualified environmental management personnel.

Eligibility : Professional from industries, consultancy and NGO working in field of environment
